Your Tasks:
Strategic/Business Planning & Execution
- Ensure the development and implementation of global business plans for the applications’ solutions by introducing a common planning process and utilizing max synergies between the different solutions in a joint effort with HIMA global sales and service, product marketing and global project engineering.
- Provide input for the product development roadmap to ensure maximum coverage of the different application needs
- Participate and provide input into the development of HIMA’s global business strategy in ensuring that the entire product and services portfolio needs necessary for the solutions’ successes are addressed.
- Ensure that the applications and critical control growth programs are embedded in area/country plans.
Business development
- Ensure continuous monitoring of market developments, trends and competitors to be considered in product and portfolio planning.
- Develop and maintain a global “Must Win” solutions project list in support of global and local project pursuit.
- Provide leadership in strategic solutions’ project pursuit decisions.
- Deliver applications’ solutions relevant input on global pricing strategies.
- Deliver input on organizational development, staffing and training needs for the respective organizations relevant for the success of the solutions’ business
- Participate in the development of the global applications’ solutions execution strategy.
- Ensure the development and quality of the necessary sales tools focusing on the customer benefits for the respective applications.
- Drive the implementation of adequate solutions’ trainings globally and monitor progress and quality.
Leadership and people development
- Supervises and oversees the activities of his direct reports - Business development managers, Application specialists - and matrix reports to ensure they reach their personal and departmental goals.
- Continuously measures the performance of his organization and ensures people development, succession planning, recruitment and training
Customer relationship and service
- Proactively utilize high level selling to maintain and grow customer base and presence.
- Maintain key customer contacts & relationships.
- Provide leadership and participate in agreement developments and negotiations.
Management and support
- Establish an interface to all necessary departments relevant to the solutions’ success, i.e. global project engineering, product marketing, global account management and project pursuit, regional sales, marketing communications etc.
- Regularly conduct applications’ solutions sales meetings to facilitate the execution of the respective sales plans.
- Develop KPIs and ensure consistent measurement of the applications’ success.
Your Profile:
- Degree in engineering or related field. Additionally, MBA or similar desirable but not essential
- Significant process automation industry expertise,
- Strong leadership skills
- High degree of analytical and commercial skills
- Ability to think and act strategically
- Self managing and coordinated in activities.
- Willingness to travel.
- Fluency in English. An additional language would be beneficial.
