HIMA, the process safety expert, has recently showcased the most technologically advanced safety systems and a range of services for the oil and gas industry at OGA 2017, Malaysia. 23,000 professionals attended the exhibition. Among the many lumnaries that visited HIMA’s booth was Datuk Mohd Anuar bin Taib, executive vice president and CEO of Upstream at Petronas.
Representatives at the HIMA’s booth explained the FlexSILon TMC (turbomachinery control) system. FlexSILon TMC helps to monitor, regulate, and control turbomachinery centrally. With FlexSILon TMC, companies considerably reduce their overall operating expenses as compared to using individual systems. The savings can be more than US$500,000 per year, coming from reduced failure rate and higher productivity.
