Privacy Policy

Names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses are personal data and thus are subject to the laws on data protection and data security. For this reason we inform you about which data we collect while you visit our websites and how we handle these data.  
If personal data are queried on our websites, the disclosure of this data is carried out on a voluntary basis by the user. This data are used by HIMA, e.g., to answer your requests or to provide you access to specific information. Personal data are not sold to third parties or otherwise marketed.
If third-party websites are accessible from our range of references (hyperlinks), our privacy policy does not apply to these linked offers.

Whenever you visit our website, your user-data are evaluated automatically with the analysis tool "Google Analytics" (see below). Furthermore, the social plug-ins of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and Xing may be used to transfer user data to the respective provider, which can not be influenced by HIMA. In addition, the visit is anonymous. More storage of personal data will occur only if you explicitly send them to us. You can send information to us, for example, in the context of following requests:

  • Training and event registration form

The visit to our website is via an encrypted SSL connection. This means that, in particular, the input of login data for staff login, partner area and extranet as well as the upload of applications are protected from unauthorized access. In addition to the sending of an e-mail from you to us, the subscription to the distribution list and the registration for trainings and events are also sent by e-mail notification to our responsible employees. The sending of e-mails is currently unencrypted.

On some of your requests we ask you for some personal data because the request can´t be processed without them. The data are used in accordance with legal regulations scope and your declarations of consent for surveys and for marketing purposes. In addition, we use the information sent to us only for the purpose for which it was transmitted to us. Transfers of personal data to state institutions and authorities are carried out only in the context of mandatory national legal provisions.  Your data are not passed to third parties without your consent. In line with legal requirements personal data are passed, if necessary, on to service partners for the provision and processing of the agreed services. Our employees are obliged to confidentiality by us.

When subscribing to the HIMA newsletter, you agree that HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH and its current and future national subsidiaries may store and evaluate your personal data, as provided in the registration form, or obtained by your use of the newsletter and to assign these data to your person or email address. The evaluation of your user behaviour includes in particular which area of the newsletter you have visited, your documents viewed or downloaded and the links you have clicked.

HIMA will use the information gathered for market research, analysis and marketing purposes and therefore HIMA will contact you via post, email and/or phone to inform you about HIMA products and services.

Only the personnel department and the decision-makers have knowledge of the application documents sent to us. An agreement on data protection was concluded with the service provider for the operation of the recruitment tool. The query of information in the application process is limited to the required extent, the provision of additional information is voluntary. Your applicant information will be deleted automatically 6 months after the completion of the application procedure. Information from applicants who accepted to be stored in the applicant pool will be deleted after 18 months.

After fulfillment of the purpose or the end of contract the personal data will be deleted. If a deletion is not possible for statutory or other legitimate reasons (e.g. period of retention), the data are initially blocked and deleted after expiry of the statutory deadline.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Due to the default activation of the IP anonymization on this website, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
