Integration Solutions (DCS)
Better Apart
Keeping Safety Systems and Control Systems Separated
Distributed control systems (DCS) are crucial for controlling and monitoring your plants. And because they are so important, you opted for a DCS from a specialist provider. Why not do the same when choosing a safety solution? International standards strongly recommend separating control systems and safety systems from each other. This means you are only fully protected if your safety system comes from an independent provider that specializes in safety: like HIMA. HIMA safety solutions run independently of your control system. Consequently, if an error occurs in the DCS, it cannot affect your safety system. Your safety system continues to run smoothly – and your plants remain completely protected.
Asset Management Solutions
Safety Loops on the Field Level
Have you ever seen a plant that only uses field devices from a single manufacturer? Of course, there are a few – but they are the absolute exception. That is why it is all the more important that you can monitor and control your various field components centrally. For this reason, HIMA solutions support all leading communication standards, such as the HART protocol. Through more information and better protection (diagnostics, additional measured values), you increase the availability, safety and security, and also the productivity of the plant. Unlike solutions from other providers, HIMA offers more flexibility and functionality so that even complex applications can be implemented – during operation and across vendors. One example of a complex application that can be implemented completely within the HIMA safety system (including analysis) is the partial stroke test. This test enables you to determine whether all valves will really work in an emergency.
Benefits
How You Benefit from HIMA Integration Solutions
-
More Safety
Control systems and safety systems run physically separate, which considerably reduces the error rate. -
Increased Output
You can fully exploit the productivity potential of your plants. -
Greater Control
You control, regulate, and protect your entire plant with a single system. -
Low Initial Investment
Additional components are not necessary. -
Uninterrupted
HIMA safety systems can be altered, extended, and maintained during operation. -
Seamless Safety
Your safety system remains intact, even if you replace individual control systems and components.
